This course explores the local, national, and global forces that have shaped Canada's national identity from World War I to the present.Together we will investigate the challenges presented by economic, social, and technological changes and explore the contributions of individuals and groups to Canadian culture and society during this period.


This course investigates a variety of human experiences in world history from earliest times to the present. Students will learn about a wide variety of social, economic and political topics including technological developments, cultural expression, social and political structures, and conflict. Students will also examine the influence of selected individuals and groups. Students will be given the opportunity to develop skills of historical inquiry, organization, analysis and communication and develop a lifelong interest in the adventures of world history.
